Any benefits to have more children?
Imam Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali in Ihya 'Ulum Ad-Deen said,
Trying to get a descent has been rated as a form of worship seen from four sides:
Running the command of God that humanity still has descendants.
Wish beloved Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam because he would be proud of the number of offspring at the last day.
Expect a blessing of prayer both children Salih afterwards.
Expect the intercession of the children who died as a child before his parents.
First: Have many children means running the command of God.
Allah Ta'ala says about halal intercourse in the evenings of Ramadan,
"So now campurilah them and follow what Allah has ordained for you." (QS. Al-Baqarah: 187).
Regarding the interpretation of 'maa kataballahu lakum', what God has ordained for you, the scholars interpret the child. Meaning it can be interpreted that the purpose of intimate relations, including at night in Ramadan is to gain offspring.
Who argue like this is Abu Hurairah, Ibn 'Abbas, Anas, Shuraih, Al-Qadi, Mujahid,' Ikrimah, Sa'eed ibn Jubayr, 'Ata', Ar-Rabi 'bin Anas, As Sudiy, Zaid bin Aslam, Al -Hakam bin'Utbah, Maqatil bin Hayyan, Al-Hasan Al-Basri, Adh-Dhahak, Qatada, and in others. They interpret the verse to reach children (offspring). Mentioned in Tafsir Al-Qur'an Al-'Azhim, 2: 70.
Second: The Messenger proud of the number of followers on the Day of Judgment.
From Ma'qil bin Yasar, he said, he said that there was someone who met the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, he said that he really loved a woman who has good bloodlines and flawless, but unfortunately he could not have offspring ,
He asked the Prophet, "What should I marry?"
He replied, "Not allowed."
Then he came to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam again the second time, the answer was the same prohibited.
Then he came to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam third time, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam then said, "Marry women who are loving and have many descendants because I'm very proud because for you are with the number of followers." (HR. Abu Dawud, no. 2050; An-Nasa'i, no. 3229. Al-Hafiz Abu Tahir said that this hadith is hasan)
This hadith is a hadith which motivates us to get married and choose a wife who Wadud (compassionate) and walud (have many descendants). Why are ordered to do so? Because the apostle want his followers are many.
Third: Expect a good prayer of a righteous child
From Abu Hurairah radi 'anhu, he said that the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,
"If someone dies, then terputuslah deeds except for three cases (ie): perpetual alms, science taken advantage, or a righteous child prayer." (HR. Muslim no. 1631)
Fourth: Expect the intercession of children who died
Anas bin Malik of Allaah 'anhu, he said, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wasallam has said,
"It is not a Muslim who died abandoned by his three sons who have baligh except Allah will enter him into Paradise because of the virtue of mercy to them". (HR. Bukhari, no. 1381)
Of 'Utbah ibn' Abdin As-Sulami, he heard the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,
"It is not a Muslim was left to die by her three children are not yet of legal age, but it will be incorporated into the door of heaven is wherever he wants." (HR. Ibn Majah, no. 1604. Al-Hafiz Abu Tahir said that this hadeeth saheeh sanad )
May be useful. May we bestowed many offspring and are permitted to educate them well.
