Waking up in the night and tahajud is one of the virtues of worship in Islam, in addition to expecting the pleasure of Allah and following the sunnah of the Prophet. Waking up at night gives a fresh effect on the body.

A. According to the Qur'an
"They are not all the same; among the scribes that there are people who apply straight, they read verses of God at some time in the evening, while they also prostrate (prayer) "(QS. "Those who believe in the verses we, are the people who, when reminded of the verses (We do), they fall down prostrate and celebrate the praise of their Lord, and they are not arrogant. "(Are you O polytheists more fortunate) or people who worship in the night time with prostrate and standing, he being afraid of the (punishment of) the Hereafter and expects his Divine Grace? "(QS. Az Zumar 39: 9)
"Those who fear are in the gardens (Paradise) and in spring-springs, taking what was awarded to them by their Lord. Indeed they were before the world are the ones who do good; they are a little sleep at night; and in the late evening they begged for forgiveness (to Allah). "(QS. Adz Dzariyat 51: 15-17)
"O you wrapped (Muhammad), get up (for prayer) at night, except a little (thereof), (ie) Half of half or subtract from it a little, or more than half of it. And read the Koran it slowly. Surely We will send down unto Menu heavy words. Indeed wake up at night is more appropriate (for humility) and the readings at the time was more memorable. "(QS. Al-Muzzammil 73: 1-6)
"Indeed, We have Lowering the Koran thee (O Muhammad) with gradually. So be patient Whom you to (carry out) Decision of your Lord, and do not follow the sinner and the disbelievers among them. And celebrate the name of thy Lord at (time) in the morning and evening. And on most of the night, then bowed to Him and glorify Him in the long night. "(QS. Al-Insan 76: 23-26)
B. According to the Hadith
"On every night - in the last third on the night - Allah descends to the lowest heaven, and exclaimed," Who is calling me, then I will greet him. Who appealed to me, I also grant it. And who begged for mercy, then I also forgive him. "Said the Prophet. which retold by Abu Hurairah. (Bukhari, Malik, Muslim and Tirmidhi)According to Abu Umamah, the Messenger of Allah. someone had once asked about the prayer that is granted by God. "Benediction easiest granted the prayer is being said in the middle of the night - the last - and in every direction after the obligatory prayers!" He replied. Once told a friend of the Prophet., That there is someone who had spent the night asleep and did not wake up for prayer. "The ear that person has urinated by the devil." Said the Prophet. provide feedback. (HR. Bukhari, Muslim and Nasa'i)
"At best prayer after the obligatory, is the night prayer (Tahajud)." Abu Hurairah said. (HR. Muslim)
Narrated by Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Ash ra. The Messenger of Allah. once said: "Whoever night prayers by reading ten verses of the Qur'an, it is not it will be recorded as people forget. Whoever night prayers by reading a hundred verses of the Qur'an, he is recorded as the Qaanitiin (obedient) - those who love to worship. Whoever night prayers by reading a thousand Ayar Al-Qur'an, it is recorded as you Muqanthiriin - rich people who liked his wealth for shadaqah (HR. Abu Daud).
According to Abdullah bin Hubaisy Prophet. was once asked, "What is the most afdhol (Best) Do on Islam?" "as best as is a long standing practice in the evening prayer!" he replied.
Narrated by A'ishah. The Messenger of Allah. night prayer as much as ten cycles, plus one rak'ah prayer Witr and two rak'ah prayer Sunnah al-Fajri. Everything thirteen cycles. (Hadith issued by six priests hadith, while lafadhnya taken from Muslim)
